This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 1 year for making and publishing the award. 2.

It is stated that the arguments of the respondent are going on and the arguments in the proceedings have been lengthy. 3.

For the said reason, issue notice.

Mr. Kumar, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

I am satisfied that a sufficient cause has been shown. 6.

Hence, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended upto 1 year from today to conclude the arbitration proceedings and make and publish the arbitral award.
