% 09.03.2024 The Insurance Company has filed an appeal for reduction of the award dated 25.02.2013 passed by the Tribunal awarding compensation of Rs.12,55,003/- along with interest @ 7.5% p.a. from the date of claim petition till its realisation. On appeal, the Insurance Company deposited the entire award amount along with accrued interest with the Registrar General of this Court and 50% of the awarded amount was directed to be released to the respondent no. 1 as per the terms and conditions fixed by the learned Tribunal vide order dated 25.02.2013. At this stage, learned counsel for the Insurance Company, on instructions, has requested for the withdrawal of the appeal. We permit the appellant to withdraw the appeal, subject to the condition that the legal rights of the claimants shall stand protected. The balance unreleased deposited amount along with accrued interest shall be released to the respondents/claimants in terms of the award of the Tribunal.

Statutory amount along with accrued interest, if any, be released to the respondents/claimants.

Let the copy of the order be communicated to the respondents/claimants.

The present appeal along with the pending application(s), if any, is disposed of with directions in terms of the foregoing settlement.
