Counsel for the appellant states on instructions that during the pendency of the present appeal, the parties have been able to negotiate a settlement before the Principal Judge, Family Courts, West District, Tis Hazari Courts on 20.04.2017, whereunder they have decided to part company by filing a joint petition for divorce by mutual consent. The first motion has already been filed on 29.04.2017 and the statements of both the parties were recorded by the Family Court. The second motion shall be filed after the expiry of six months. The respondent has also agreed to pay a sum of Rs.16 lakhs to the appellant in full and final settlement, apart from some other amounts as set down in the Settlement Agreement dated 20.04.2017 executed before the Counselling Cell of the Family Court. A copy of the said document, duly signed by both sides is handed over and taken on MAT.APP.(F.C.) 19/2017 Page 1 of 2
record.

The respondent, who appears in person, confirms the aforesaid position.

As counsel for the appellant states that his client does not wish to press the appeal any further, the same is disposed of alongwith the pending application.
