This application has been filed by the petitioner, seeking correction of a typographical error that has occurred in paragraph 7(I) of our Judgment dated 21.07.2025, inasmuch as the interest was to be paid at the rate of 6% P.A. instead of 8% P.A., as erroneously recorded therein.

In spite of the service of notice of this application, none has appeared for the respondent.

We, by our above Judgment, had disposed of the petition filed by the petitioner herein, by placing reliance on an earlier Judgment of this Court in Municipal Corporation of Delhi & Another v. Dorothy John, 2025 SCC OnLine Del 4910, wherein interest at the rate of 6% P.A. was awarded in case the payment was made by the petitioner to By:REYMON VASHIST 16:44:14

the respondent within two weeks from the date of the Judgment. Clearly, therefore, there was a typographical error in the final direction issued by us in paragraph 7(I), wherein we directed that the interest be paid at the rate of 8% P.A..

The said error is accordingly corrected. Paragraph 7(I) of the Judgment dated 21.07.2025 shall now be read as under: "7.

xxx I. If not already released, the petitioner shall release the retiral benefits to the respondent amounting to Rs.16,83,809/- and the 3rd MACP arrears of Rs.82,006/-, along with interest @ 6% per annum on the delayed payment of unpaid DCRG amount of Rs.16,83,809/- and the 3rd MACP arrears of Rs.82,006/- and on payment of tuition fee (2019-2020) Rs.54,000/- and tuition fee (20202021) Rs.27,000/- already paid on 12.07.2023 and 20.05.2024, from date of entitlement of the respondent to the same till date of actual payment, within a period of two weeks from today."

The application is disposed of in the above terms. 6.

The present order shall also be uploaded as a corrigendum to the Judgment dated 21.07.2025.
