The petitioner has filed the present application seeking bail in connection with FIR No.0260/2019 under Section 326/498A/406/304B/302/504/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC) registered with PS New Usmanpur, Delhi.

The FIR relates to an incident where the sister-in-law of the petitioner (wife of her brother) had died an unnatural death. She had succumbed to burn injuries at a hospital. At the initial stage, she stated that on the date of incident, her father-in-law had misbehaved with her and abused her and in

anger, she had poured kerosene on herself in front of her mother-in-law, who had egged her on by pointing to the matchbox. She had then lit herself on fire. In a second statement, she stated that her mother-in-law had poured kerosene oil on her and had lit her on fire.

None of her sisters-in-law nor brothers-in-law were present at the material time. However, the said FIR also indicates that she had reported that they had earlier interfered in her matrimonial life and had also misbehaved with her.

The sister of the petitioner has been admitted to anticipatory bail by an order dated 06.11.2019 in Bail Appln. No. 2778/2019. 6.

In view of the above, the petitioner is admitted to bail subject to her furnishing a Personal Bond in the sum of ₹20,000/- with one surety of an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer. This is also subject to the condition that the petitioner would join the investigation. In the first instance, she will appear before the Investigating Officer on 06.12.2019 at 10:30 AM. She shall fully cooperate with the investigation. The petitioner shall also provide her contact details including her mobile number and ensure that she is reachable at all times. 7.

The petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi without informing the IO.
