O R D E R

% 05.09.2024 1.

In pursuance to the last order dated 27th August, 2024, Ms. Prabhsahay Kaur, learned Standing Counsel for the DDA, on instructions, states that, without prejudice to its rights and contentions, and without admitting any liability on its part and as a part of a humanitarian gesture, the DDA is willing to pay Rs. Twenty (20) lakhs to the legal heir of the deceased, namely Smt. Tanuja @ Tanvi, aged twenty three years and son Priyansh, aged three years.

Learned counsel for the Delhi Police states that a draft charge sheet has already been prepared and after sanction is obtained from the authorities, the charge sheet shall be filed.

It is clarified that the Trial Court shall decide the matter uninfluenced by any order passed by this Court.

Learned counsel for the MCD has handed over a status report dated 04th September, 2024.

The same is taken on record. He assures and undertakes to this Court that the work of repair, construction and redevelopment shall be completed by the end of December, 2024. The said statement is taken on record and MCD is held bound by the same. 5.

In view the aforesaid statements/ undertakings, this Court is of the view that no further orders are called for and the present writ petition is closed.
