The petitioner, who is presently working as a Head Constable in the CISF, has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, impugning the transfer order dated 15.04.2024 vide which he has been transferred from the CISF Unit, CGBS, New Delhi to SDSC SHAR, Andhra Pradesh.

instructions, submits that the petitioner is willing to join his place of posting in terms of the impugned transfer/movement order if he is granted time till 20.08.2024 to join there.

Learned counsel for the respondents, who appears on advance notice, opposes this prayer and submits that the petitioner is already on extended medical leave and therefore, ought not to be granted any further time. 6.
Having perused the record and taking into account the fact that the petitioner has been transferred out of Delhi within one year of his being posted at Delhi, we are of the view that in the interest of justice, the petitioner deserve to be granted 15 days further time to join his new place of posting.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of by granting petitioner time to report at his new place of posting at SDSC, SHAR, Andhra Pradesh on or before 20.08.2024. The pending application also stands disposed of.
