By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of Cr.P.C., petitioner is seeking direction to respondent No.1 to provide protection to her and her husband from respondent No.2.

None has appeared on behalf of the petitioner since morning despite passover.

Status report on behalf of the State has been filed which is to the following effect:- "During the further course of inquiry statements of petitioner's parents were also recorded wherein they stated that they had fixed their daughter's marriage with Bharat Bagri but due to some social issues they refused to go forward with the said relation but now they accepted the said relation. It is worthwhile to mention here that petitioner, presently residing W.P.(CRL) 544/2016
at her matrimonial home i.e. 37A, Block B Indira Park, Najafgarh, Delhi which falls under the jurisdiction of PS Najafgarh, Delhi."

Since the marriage of the petitioner has been accepted by her parents as per the status report, it appears that petitioner is no more interested in prosecuting this petition.
