The limited grievance canvassed by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner's appeal bearing no. 919/2024 filed under Rule 22(3)(4) of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Rules, 2016 read/with Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007 has not been decided by the concerned Appellate Authority / Divisional Commissioner (respondent no. 2). It is submitted that the delay in adjudication of the said appeal is causing immense and untold hardship to the petitioner in as much as the petitioner is suffering constant harassment at the hands of her children. 2.

During the course of hearing, it transpires that the next date of hearing before the concerned Appellate Authority (respondent no. 2) is 01.08.2025. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the Appellate Authority is seized of the matter, and will decide the same as expeditiously as possible. The said statement is taken on record.
