The present Application has been filed in a disposed off matter and the matter was settled on 08.03.2025.

1.1 This is an Application filed on behalf of the Appellant seeking release of the settlement amount of Rs.60,000/-.

Learned Counsel for the Appellant submits that the Appellant has passed away and thus the amounts may be released in favour of the Legal Heirs of the Appellant.

Learned Counsel for the Respondent No.1 objects to the present Application. It is submitted that on the date of the settlement, the Appellant was no longer alive.

This Court agrees. Concededly, the settlement was entered into on 08.03.2025, whereas the Appellant expired on 26.03.2024. Learned Counsel for the Appellant submits that if the matter is once again sent before the Pre-Sitting Lok Adalat, he will ensure that the Legal Representatives of the Appellant are present and requests that one more opportunity may be given to make an attempt to settle the matter. 6.

For this purpose, the parties shall appear, either physically or virtually, before the Secretary, Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee on 28.05.2025 at 2:30 PM.

6.1 Let the senior official of the Respondent No.1/Insurance Company conversant with the facts of the case shall also remain present before the Pre-Sitting Lok Adalat.

The Application is disposed of accordingly.
