% 27.02.2017 It is submitted that petitioner is the tenant of respondent no. 2. A civil suit No. 54/2013 was also pending between them before the Additional Rent Controller, Patiala House Court, New Delhi.

Present FIR No. 127/2013 under Sections 420/468/471 IPC was registered at Police Station Inder Puri against the petitioner, on the complaint of respondent no. 2. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes on 2nd December, 2014 in the said suit; therefore, FIR may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and admits having settled the matter

with the petitioner.

Respondent no. 2 submits that premises has already been vacated by the petitioner. Petitioner submits that he has also received the settled amount of `3,15,000/-. Respondent no. 2 further submits that he has settled the matter with petitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure. He further submits he is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, I am of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 127/2013 under Sections 420/468/471 IPC registered at Police Station Inder Puri, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
