Separate Bail Applications under Section 482 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed on behalf of the Petitioners Rekha Sharma and Megha Bhanot, who are mother-in-law and sister-in-law of the Complainant, seeking Anticipatory Bail in FIR No.0335/2025 dated 09.06.2025 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC, registered at P.S.: Rajouri Garden, Delhi.

Brief facts are that Rupam Sharma son of late Mr. Kuldeep Sharma married to the Complainant on 09.10.2022 at Gurudwara Pahadi Wala, New Delhi and after which they went to matrimonial home in Punjab. After some time, Complainant started leaving matrimonial home frequently against the wishes of her husband. One son was born from their wedlock on 07.09.2023.

Thereafter, on 26.10.2023, Complainant got her husband implicated in a case. On which, FIR No.0029/2024 dated 25.01.2024 under Section 307 IPC got registered at PS: Rama Mandi, Punjab against him. Thereafter, on 09.06.2025, present FIR No.0335/2025 got registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at P.S.: Rajouri Garden, Delhi. 4.
Both the Petitioners joined investigations. Bail Applications have been dismissed by the learned Sessions Court. 5.
Bail is sought on the ground that present FIR No.0335/2025 was registered on 09.06.2025 and within a month, Petitioners received three Notices, which show the mala fide that the Police is working at the behest of the Complainant. Pursuant to the Notices, Petitioners joined investigations. Therefore, no custodial interrogation is required. Petitioners undertake to abide by any condition imposed on them while granting Bail. 6.
Status Report has been filed on behalf of the State detailing the allegations made in the Complaint, which led to registration of FIR No.0335/2025. It has also been submitted that Petitioners have joined investigations and have provided the list of dowry articles. Examination Report has also been prepared.

Learned counsel for the Complainant submits that from the Status Report, it has come to the knowledge that jewellery articles of the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
Complainant have been mortgaged and Notice has also been given to the mortgagee with regard to recovery of the same. Mortgaged Gold articles are yet to be recovered, as mortgagee is not supporting the investigations. Submissions heard and record perused.

Allegations against both the Petitioners Rekha Sharma and Megha Bhanot are of cruelty and dowry demands. They have already joined investigations and therefore, no custodial interrogation is merited. 9.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it is directed that in the event of his arrest, the Petitioners shall be admitted to Anticipatory Bail by the Investigating Officer/Arresting Officer, on the following terms and conditions:
a) The Petitioners/Applicants shall furnish a personal bond of Rs.35,000/- each and one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court; b) The Petitioners/Applicants shall join the investigations, as and when called by the Investigating Officer; c) The Petitioners/Applicants shall provide their mobile numbers/changed mobile numbers to the IO concerned, which shall be kept in working condition at all times; d) The Petitioners/Applicants shall not contact, nor visit, nor offer any inducement, threat or promise to any of the prosecution witnesses or other persons acquainted with the facts of case; and e) The Petitioners/Applicants shall not tamper with evidence nor otherwise indulge in any act or omission that is unlawful or that would prejudice the proceedings in the pending trial. A copy of this Order be forwarded to the Jail Superintendent and the learned Trial Court.

Accordingly, both Bail Applications along with pending Applications are disposed of.
