By way of this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner challenges an order dated 29.07.2024, by which he has been transferred from the post of Production Assistant at the respondent - National Book Trust India's Sahibabad Store to the same post at the Books Production Centre, Chennai.

During the course of arguments, Mr. Shanker Raju, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner who is present in Court, submits that petitioner only seeks an assurance that the work assigned to him in Chennai will pertain to the production of books and W.P.(C) 10883/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Mr. Chetan Sharma, learned Additional Solicitor General, instructed by Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Joint Director of respondent - National Book Trust India, states that the petitioner will be engaged only in activities commensurate with his qualification and current position. 4.

As no further relief is pressed, the writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. All pending applications also stands disposed of. 5.

The petitioner will join at the transferred post within the period of one week from today.
