The petitioner is seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent for alleged wilful disobedience of the directions contained in the order dated 06.05.2024 passed by this Court. 2.
Learned counsel for the respondent is present on advance notice.

Shorn off unnecessary details, this Court vide the aforementioned order directed the respondent to consider the complaint dated 09.05.2023, lodged by the petitioner in respect of some alleged professional misconduct on the part of one Notary Officer.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the order of this Court was received on 11.07.2024 and a Show Cause Notice has already been issued to the delinquent Notary Officer dated 26.07.2024 followed by a subsequent reminder dated 06.08.2024, calling upon him to submit his response.

It is stated at the Bar that appropriate action shall be taken against the delinquent Notary Officer in accordance with law. 6.
In view of the aforesaid statement made by the learned counsel for the respondent, the present contempt petition is disposed of to the effect that appropriate action may be taken against the delinquent Notary Officer in accordance with law, within eight weeks from today.
