The petitioner is seeking initiation of the contempt proceedings against the respondents viz. Government of NCT of Delhi, Commissioner of Police and Revenue Authorities, for allegedly committing wilful disobedience of the order dated 31.10.2019 passed by this Court in Public Interest Litigation Petition bearing W.P.(C) No. 11504/2019.

Learned counsel for respondents is present on advance notice. She has submitted that after due consideration of the plight of the victims who suffered losses in the fire incident that took place on 27.10.2019 on the eve of Diwali festival, resulting in jhuggi clusters in Neb Sarai getting ravaged, an appropriate sanction order had been passed by the Revenue Department of GNCTD, which is dated 24.09.2024. The said sanction order is placed on the record. 3.

In view of the aforesaid decision taken by the respondents, the present contempt petition does not survive any longer. Accordingly, the same is dismissed as satisfied.
