This petition has been filed, under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of the sole Arbitrator, who is in seisin of disputes between the parties, arising out of work awarded to the petitioner for "Construction of Academic Building Fashion Centre and Hostel at NIFT Hauz Khas, New Delhi" by letter of acceptance dated 30.12.2013.

The sole Arbitrator was appointed by a judgment of this Court dated 10.10.2019 in ARB. P. 535/2019. The mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal was extended from time to time, lastly by order dated 21.03.2024 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 246/2024, until 30.07.2024. Mr. Musheer Zaidi, learned counsel, enters appearance on behalf of the respondent, and states that the respondent has no objection to the relief sought.

I am informed the award has been reserved in the proceedings, and the matter has thereafter been listed for clarifications. 5.

With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of three moths from 30.07.2024.

The petition, alongwith the pending application, stands disposed of in these terms.
