By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent and/or Sentence Review Board (SRB) to consider the case of the petitioner and grant Premature Release to the petitioner in case arising out of FIR No. 534/1997, registered at Police Station Gokulpuri, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC').

Issue notice. Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, ASC (Crl.) accepts notice on behalf of the State and submits that whenever the next meeting of Sentence Review Board (SRB) will take place, the case of the petitioner will be considered by SRB.
