The appellant is present in person and submits that he has already been released from custody. A release report dated 19.08.2022 issued under the signatures of Deputy Superintendent, Central Jail stating therein that the appellant has been permanently released on 15.08.2022 on completion of sentence, after receiving special remission granted by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India on the occasion of 75th Anniversary of Independence, under the 'Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' programme. 2.

Learned APP for the State has handed over a copy of the nominal roll dated 25.07.2025, and states that the fine amount of Rs.25,000/- imposed upon the appellant stood paid in jail on 13.08.2022. The copies of nominal roll and the payment receipt are taken on record 3.

The appellant further submits that he, being aware of the consequences, does not wish to press his appeal on merits. 4.
