W.P.(CRL) 2382/2024 & W.P.(CRL) 2365/2024 1.
These petitions have been filed seeking quashing of FIR no. 0245/2024 and 0244/2024, being cross FIRs registered at PS Jamia Nagar, New Delhi inter alia under Sections 110/3(5) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, on the basis of understanding arrived at between the parties dated 22nd July, 2024, which is on record of this Court.
2.
The petitioners and the complainants respectively in both these matters are present before this Court and are duly identified by the IO and respective counsels. The complainants state that they have no objection if the respective FIRs are quashed since they have amicably resolved their issues. 3.
Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the. FIR nos. 0245/2024 and 0244/2024 registered at PS Jamia Nagar, New Delhi under Sections 110/3(5) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
4.
Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 5.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
