HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU

O R D E R

% 11.12.2019 CRL.M.A. 42428/2019 & CRL.M.A. 42429/2019 1.

Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.

2.

The applications are disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 3455/2019 3.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the Commissioner of Police be directed to ensure a time bound investigation in FIR No. 567/2018 registered with PS Rajouri Garden. 4.

It is stated that the said FIR was registered more than a year ago, however, no progress has been made as yet. The petitioner has alleged that certain dowry demands had been made from her parents. It is also stated that she was diagnosed with Papillary Carcinoma Thyroid in April, 2011. The petitioner was married to the accused on 15.12.2014. Apparently, the said

marriage was a love marriage and contrary to the wishes of the petitioner's parents filed a petition seeking directions to the police to provide her protection as she (and her husband) apprehended harm at the hands of her parents.

5.

At this stage, this Court is refraining from making any observations regarding the merits of the allegations made by the petitioner. However, since the said FIR was filed more than a year ago, the petitioner's prayer that the same must be taken to its logical end, is merited. The Investigating Officer is directed to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible and preferably, within a period of three months from today and file a proper report before the concerned Court.

6.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. VIBHU BAKHRU, J DECEMBER 11, 2019 pkv
