This Writ petition has been filed by the Petitioners, who are senior citizens, seeking protection against private Respondents No.2 to 6, who are the son, daughter-in-law and father of daughter-in-law, mother of daughterin-law and sister of daughter-in-law respectively. had directed the State to provide appropriate protection by the Beat Constable and the SHO of the area concerned to the Petitioners. 4.

Investigating Officer, SI Awadhesh Narayan, is present in Court and submits that mobile numbers of the SHO and the Beat Constable were provided to the Petitioners and the Beat Constable is in regular touch with Petitioner No.1, both telephonically and through personal visits to his residence. This position is refuted by the counsel for the Petitioners, who states that from the date of passing of the order, no police officer has visited the Petitioners.

Mr. Khatri, learned ASC submits that he shall ensure that the Beat Constable will visit the residence of the Petitioners once in three weeks and the Investigating Officer once in 4 weeks, for a couple of months, to ensure the safety and well-being of the Petitioners and in case of any call from them, prompt action as required shall be taken. 6.

This petition is disposed of taking the aforesaid assurance on record and reiterating that the police officials as undertaken shall visit the residence of the Petitioners, to ascertain their well-being and render all possible assistance and help, as and when required. Pending application also stands disposed of.
