ORDER

% 24.02.2016 Present batch of writ petitions has been filed seeking a direction to respondent to decide the appeals filed by the petitioners under Section 18 of the NCTE Act latest by 3"' March, 2016.

4. Learned counsel for petitioners states that according to the schedule fixed by the Supreme Court in Maa Vaishno Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya Vs. State of U.P. & Ors. , (2013) 2 SCC 617 the last date for grant of recognition for Academic Session 2016-17 is 3'' March, 2016 and, therefore, respondent-NCTE should dispose of the appeals filed by the petitioners before the said date.

It is pertinent to mention that that appeals having common question of fact and law are already pending adjudication before the NCTE. Keeping in view the limited relief sought, the present writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respondent to decide the appeals filed by the petitioners on or before 3rd March, 2016. It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the controversy and rights and contentions of all the parties are left open. 'U MANMHAN, J FEBRUARY 24 9 2016 rn
