The present petition is filed seeking initiation of inquiry against certain police officials.

Serious allegations have been made against certain police officials in regard to illegal detention, physical assault, extortion etc.

3.

The petitioner seeks inquiry into the alleged act of certain police officials. He also seeks preservation of CCTV footage of the place of incident.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, at the outset, submits that the complaint has been forwarded to the Department of Vigilance and appropriate steps will be taken in accordance with law.

He submits that the CCTV footage of the area of incident, if available, would also be preserved and the same would be dealt with in accordance with further orders that may be passed by the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Considering the above, this Court does not consider it apposite to keep the present petition pending. 7.

The petitioner is also at liberty to file an appropriate application before the learned Trial Court for further action that may be advised.
