By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking following prayer:
"Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ(s)/order(s)/direction(s) in the nature thereof, thereby directing the respondents No.1 and 02 to provide adequate (indoor & outdoor) safety/ protection to the petitioner"

Issue notice. Ms. Rupali Bandhopadhyaya, learned ASC accepts notice on behalf of the State.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned ASC for State.

The present matter concerns a sensitive issue where the petitioner and one Mr. Masum Raza, who belong to different faiths, are known to each other and reside in the same locality. together peacefully out of their own free will and volition. The petitioner submits that she intends to marry Mr. Masum Raza under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act. However, respondent nos. 3 and 4 have been opposing this relationship, have turned hostile towards her, and are continuously threatening and harassing her.

In the case at hand, the petitioner has prayed for protection of her life and liberty from respondent nos. 3 and 4. The right to life and personal liberty is a Fundamental Right guaranteed under the Constitution of India, and the present case warrants the indulgence of this Court to ensure the same.

Considering the sensitivity of the matter and the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner, SHO, Police Station New Usmanpur, Delhi is directed to provide adequate protection to the petitioner from respondent nos. 3 and 4. The petitioner shall provide her mobile number to the concerned and SHO and Beat Constable. The concerned SHO, and the Beat Constable shall also provide their respective contact numbers to the petitioner.

Since the alleged incidents have taken place within the jurisdiction of Police Station New Usmanpur, in case the petitioner files a complaint before the SHO of the said police station and commission of a cognizable offence is revealed, the concerned SHO shall register an FIR under appropriate provisions of law.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he is satisfied with this arrangement.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of. The pending application also stands disposed of.
