The writ petition was withdrawn on 23.08.2024 and now restoration thereof is sought by the petitioner/union. It is submitted learned counsel for petitioner that on 23.08.2024, the predecessor bench was inclined to impose heavy costs, treating the writ petition as malafide, so the petitioner opted to withdraw the petition. It is further submitted by learned counsel for petitioner that instead of approaching the labour authorities, petitioner has opted to seek restoration of the writ petition. 2.

Admittedly, the petition was withdrawn on 23.08.2024 by the petitioner; the petitioner is a union for employees and not an individual workman; and the decision to withdraw the writ petition was taken by the petitioner union in presence of their counsel before the predecessor bench. 4.

At this stage, on instructions of her clients present in the court room, learned counsel for petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this application.
