W.P.(CRL) 2413/2024 By way of the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner (wife) seeks a direction to respondent No.3/SHO P.S.: Jaitpur to provide adequate protection to the petitioner at the hands of respondents Nos.4 to 6, who are the husband and in-laws of the petitioner.

Ms. Nandita Rao, learned ASC (Criminal) appears on behalf of the State on advance copy; accepts notice; and submits on instructions of the Investigating Officer, who is present in court, that the disputes between the petitioner and respondents Nos.4 to 6 arising from the matrimonial relationship are already pending before the CAW Cell, W.P.(CRL) 2413/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Ms. Rao submits that the present petition seems to have arisen from the on-going matrimonial disputes, which the petitioner should bring to the attention of CAW Cell, which would deal with the disputes appropriately, in accordance with law.

However, Mr. Ashish Negi, learned counsel for the petitioner submits, that the petitioner requires immediate assistance and intervention in the times when her husband assaults her and that cannot be addressed by the CAW Cell.

In the circumstances, the present petition is disposed-of with a direction that the cell-phone numbers of the SHO, P.S.: Jaitpur as also of the concerned lady beat constable be furnished to the petitioner, who may contact them in any eventuality.

The SHO is also directed to ensure that appropriate action is taken if such a call is received, in accordance with law. 8.

Petition stands disposed-of.
