By way of present petition, the petitioner seeks following reliefs:- "a) To give protection to the person of the Writ Petitioner owing to threat to his person as the Police authorities having failed to perform their duties."

Learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that on an assessment of the threat perception, security of two armed constables has been provided to the petitioner round the clock. He further submits that the said security is continuing and in case, on review of threat perception, the same is decided to be withdrawn, a prior notice would be given to the petitioner. 3.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition.

Leave, as prayed for, is granted. The petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
