This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 405/2017, under Sections 498A/323/506/34 IPC registered at PS Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi basis settlement arrived at between the parties dated 21st September, 2020. Petitioner No.1 is appearing through VC, whereas respondent No.2/complainant is present before this Court physically and duly identified by their respective counsels.

As per the settlement, the amount of Rs.4,30,000/- has been received by respondent No.2, who acknowledges the same. 3.
The marriage of petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 has resulted in a divorce by decree dated 15th March, 2021. No child was born out of wedlock.

continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 405/2017, under Sections 498A/323/506/34 IPC registered at PS Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 5.
Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
