Petition under Section 528 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023/Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been filed on behalf of the Petitioners, who are Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law of the Complainant, for quashing of Petition under Section 12 DV Act on the ground that it is not maintainable against them and that maintenance is being sought from them.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioners has conceded that the Summoning Order has not been challenged and direct Petition has been filed for quashing.

In view of the submissions made, the Petition alongwith pending Application, is disposed of with liberty to the Petitioners to challenge the Order of Summoning or move appropriate Application, in accordance with law.
