The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- "a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Certiorari thereby quashing and setting aside the order dated 02.08.2024. b) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondents to Issue Resignation to the Petitioner subsequent to his selection with the Railways as Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk alongwith all consequential benefits.

c) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the Respondent No.5 to allow the Petitioner to join the post of Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk.

d) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent 2 to 5 to allow the Petitioner to resign from service." 2.

After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that instead of pressing the present petition, the petitioner will assail the order dated 29.05.2024 passed in W.P.(C) No. 12807/2023 before the Apex Court. 3.
