This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.

The present writ petition has been filed on behalf of the Petitioner- Mr. Ravinder Kumar under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of habeas corpus for the production of his son, who is about 14 years of age.

It is stated that the Petitioner's son is a student in the Government Boys Sr. Sec. School, Old Seema Pura, Delhi. Further, on 9th July, 2024 the Petitioner's son, namely Master 'X' left his house to go to the said school at around 12:45 pm, however, he has not returned since then. 4.

at PS Seema Puri on 10th July, 2024. It is further stated that the Petitioner came to know that the son of the Respondent No.2 namely, Master 'M' was also missing. As both the said children studied in the same school, the Petitioner expresses apprehension about Respondent No.2's knowledge of the two missing children.

On the last date of hearing i.e., 9th January, 2025, a status report was filed which stated that the minors were still not traced. The AHTU, Shahdara had undertaken further investigation as directed vide orders dated 16th October, 2024 and 7th November, 2024, however the location of the missing boys were still not traced. Considering the long duration for which the children have been missing, it was directed on the last day that the present investigation be transferred to the AHTU (Crime). 6.

Today, the AHTU Crime Branch has handed over a further status report dated 3rd February, 2025. The same be taken on record. As per the said report a detailed investigation has been carried out and various friends of the missing children have also been examined in detail. The CDR of the suspects have also been examined and hue and cry notices have been issued along with the photographs.

Mr. Sanjay Lao, ld. Standing Counsel (Crl.) submits that it can be observed from the status report and the facts, which have been gleaned till now, that both the children have gone on their own and may be working somewhere and might not want to be traced. He submits that if there are any further leads, the police will file a monthly report to the CWC and the same would be monitored by the CWC as well as the concerned CMM. 8.
