2. Notice. Notice is accepted by learned counsel for the Respondents, who informs the Court that the request of the Petitioner is being considered by the Respondents. He states that representations have been received on the aspect of seniority, which are stated to be pending before the Ministry of Home Affairs („MHA‟).

3. The Court directs that the said representations be decided by the MHA within a period of four weeks from today, after which the Departmental Promotion Committee („DPC‟) meeting be held to decide the claim of the Petitioner. A decision in that regard will be taken not be taken later than 31st March, 2020, and be communicated to the Petitioner on or before 15th April, 2020. If the Petitioner is aggrieved by such a decision, it will be open to him

to seek appropriate remedies in accordance with law.

4. The petition is disposed of in above terms. No costs. S.MURALIDHAR, J.
