The limited prayer sought by the petitioner is that the complaint filed by the petitioner under Section 5 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2010 before the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (South), be decided expeditiously inasmuch grave prejudice is being caused to the petitioner, a senior citizen, as a result of the delay in the adjudication thereof.

In the aforesaid circumstances, given the limited nature of relief sought by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2 / Sub-Divisional Magistrate (South) to decide the complaint bearing No. 98/2023 filed by the petitioner within a period of three months from today.
