This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking appointment of an Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes between the parties. 2.
Disputes in the present petition emanate from Player Service Agreement dated 01.07.2024, executed between the parties. As per the Petitioner, it successfully performed its obligations under the Agreement initially executed on 03.04.2021 and facilitated several endorsement contracts with prominent brands/agencies resulting in substantial financial benefits to the Respondent. Respondent. Appreciative of the services rendered by the Petitioner, a fresh Player Services Agreement was executed on 01.07.2024, however, several differences arose between the parties and on 23.12.2024, Respondent formally terminated the Agreement. In light of the arbitration clause incorporated in Clause 11 of Player Service Agreement, Petitioner sent notice invoking arbitration on 29.03.2025 proposing the name of a sole Arbitrator, however, Respondent by his reply dated 24.04.2025 rejected the proposal and proposed the name of another Arbitrator. 3.
Learned counsel for the Respondent, on instructions, does not dispute existence of arbitration agreement and consequently appointment of Arbitrator by this Court.

During the course of hearing, both counsels propose and agree for appointment of Mr. Justice Vipin Sanghi, former Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court as the sole Arbitrator. 5.
With the consent of the parties, Mr. Justice Vipin Sanghi, former Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court, (Mobile No. 9871300037) is appointed as Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes between the parties. Arbitral proceedings will be held under the aegis of Delhi International Arbitration Centre ('DIAC'). Fee of the Arbitrator shall be fixed as per fee schedule under DIAC (Administrative Cost & Arbitrators' Fees) Rules 2018.

Learned Arbitrator shall give disclosure under Section 12 of the 1996 Act before entering upon reference.

In the meantime, it will be open to the parties to attempt an amicable settlement of their disputes, as put forth by the counsels at this stage. 9.
