The present writ petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking judicial enquiry of the excessive, arbitrary and illegal police action against the students of Jamia Millia Isamia University on 14.12.2019 and 15.12.2019, through an independent Judicial Commission headed by former Judge of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, while granting such commission unfettered powers and jurisdiction for conducting fair investigation and submitting its report to this Court for further action under law against the erring police officials, for such brutal, arbitrary, excessive, illegal action against the students of Jamia Millia Islamia University.

Mr. Rizwan, who is a practising advocate appears in person and states that he does not want to pursue the present writ petition any more and, thus, seeks permission to withdraw the same.
