O R D E R

% 19.02.2018 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent nos.2 (injured) and 3 are related to each other. Petitioner nos. 1, 2, 4 and respondent no. 3 are nephews of respondent no. 2; whereas petitioner no. 3 is mother of petitioner nos. 2 and 4. It is submitted that a quarrel took place between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 which led to registration of FIR No. 896/2014 under Sections 308/34 IPC at police station Vasant Kunj (North). In the incident, petitioners had assaulted the respondent no.2 resulting grievous injuries to her. Respondent no. 3 was neither assaulted by the petitioners nor had he sustained any injury. He had simply lodged the aforesaid FIR on behalf of the respondent no.2. With the intervention of their other family members,

petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise Deed dated 17th December, 2016, therefore, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed.

Photocopy of Compromise Deed dated 17th December, 2016 has been placed on record.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Manish Yadav of police station Vasant Kunj (North). She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that respondent no. 3-Sanjay Mahla has authorised her to convey to this Court that he is also not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record. Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
