The matter was reserved for judgment to decide the issue as to whether Dr. Manisha Narayan, Deputy Director, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has interfered in the administration of justice and has wilfully disobeyed the orders of the Court.

Dr. Manisha Narayan, Deputy Director, FSSAI, has filed an affidavit tendering unconditional apology and expressing her remorse and regret. In the said affidavit Dr. Narayan has stated that in view of the fact that the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. matter was sub-judice before this Court, she ought to have waited before proceeding further with the matter. She has also stated that she has deep repentance for her actions and had no intentions to overreach the orders of this Court.

The apology rendered by Dr. Manisha Narayan, Deputy Director, FSSAI, is accepted. Dr. Narayan should be more careful in future while taking actions, more so when she is aware that the matter is sub-judice. Dr. Narayan is advised to ensure that the steps taken by her should not result in overreaching any issue pending before the Court. 4.
The application is disposed of.

On 10.04.2024, this Court reserved the matter for judgment. However, in view of the Order passed in CM APPL. 23507/2024, accepting the apology tendered by Dr. Manisha Narayan, Deputy Director, FSSAI, the Order dated 10.04.2024 passed by this Court reserving the writ petition for judgment is recalled.
