Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India primarily challenging Rules 15 and 24 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Election of Councillors) Rules, 2012 as ultra vires the Constitution.

Learned counsel for respondent No.3 states that a similar writ petition being W.P.(C) 4830/2024 Lokesh Kumar vs. Government of NCT of Delhi & Ors. seeking identical relief has already been dismissed by this Court vide judgment and order dated 03rd April, 2024.
