The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be given to the respondent to transfer the petitioner from Central Jail No. 2, Tihar, Delhi to a semi-open jail, without delay. 2.

The petitioner states that he is eligible for being transferred to a semiopen jail and had applied for the same. However, the respondent has failed to take any decision on his request. A copy of the status report has handed over to this Court, wherein it is stated that petitioner's name is currently under consideration for being transferred to a semi-open jail by the selection committee constituted for the said purpose. It is further stated that the meeting of the selection committee was convened on 28.01.2020 but the same was postponed due to administrative reasons. 3.

It is stated that the said meeting is likely to be convened soon and the petitioner would be informed of the decision of the said committee.

In view of the above no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. The same is disposed of.
