O R D E R

% 20.02.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably.

Petitioner nos. 2 and 3 are relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Rajesh Kumar of police station Aman Vihar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioners vide Compromise/Settlement Deed dated 7th September, 2016 (Annexure P-1) of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that petitioner no.2 has already pronounced Talaq to her.

Petitioner no.1 has paid `1.65 lacs to the respondent no. 2 today in

Court vide two demand drafts photocopies whereof have been placed on record. Apart from this, petitioner no.1 has also paid `5,000/- in cash to the respondent no.2 towards Mahr. Respondent no.2 submits that FIR may be quashed in view of the settlement.

Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, inasmuch as, respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 344/2016 under Sections 406/498-A/34 IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered at police station Aman Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of.
