The present petition under Sections 2(b)/12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India seeks the following prayers: - "(a) initiate contempt proceedings against the contemnor/respondent i.e. Dr. Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi (GGSIPU) for wilfully disobeying the order dated 26.07.2024 passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.(Civil) No.7575/2022 titled as "Dr. Shaildesh Kumar Vs. Guru Gobind Singh Indraparastha University, through its Vice Chancellor & Anr." and/or (b) pass any other or further order which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case as well as in the interest of justice."

Vide order dated 26.07.2024, in W.P. (C) 7575/2022, following directions were passed: - "In view of the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioner and no objection on behalf of the respondents, learned counsel for The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

petitioner is granted liberty as prayed with direction to file an appropriate representation along with the copy of this order before the Vice Chancellor/ competent authority and after receiving the representation, the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation after giving personal hearing to the petitioner and pass a detailed and reasoned order in accordance with law, preferably within six weeks."

In pursuance of the same, letter dated 16.01.2025 had been issued to the petitioner by the respondent, which is reproduced as under: - "

In view of the above, the directions with respect to the petitioner's representation have been decided after giving him personal hearing have since been complied with.
