The petitioner has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, seeking the following reliefs:- "i) issue any appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the respondent Jamia Millia Islamia to forthwith pay to the petitioner arrears of dearness allowance amounting to Rs. 1,03,592/- due for the period 01.10.2009 to 30.11.2014; and ii) issue any appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the respondent Jamia Millia Islamia to pay interest at the rate of 9% p.a. to the petitioner since the payment of DA arrears is due and till payments are made; and iii) pass any other order or direction or such further orders as may be deemed just and appropriate, in the facts and circumstances of the case and also in the interest of justice, in favour of the petitioner; and W.P.(C) 10981/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Mr. Pritish Sabharwal, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, who appears on advance notice, submits that the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2025, seeking payment of dearness allowance, is currently pending consideration before the respondents. He further submits that a decision on the said representation will be taken within a period of four weeks, and if any amount is found due to the petitioner, the same will be paid within eight weeks thereafter. 3.

The respondents are accordingly directed to take a decision on the petitioner's representation in terms of the submission recorded above. 4.

While considering the petitioner's representation, the respondents will also take into account the facts and grounds raised in the present writ petition.

In the event the decision is adverse to the petitioner, a reasoned and speaking order be passed and duly communicated to the petitioner within the stipulated period of four weeks.

All rights and contentions of the parties remain reserved. 7.

The writ petition stands disposed of with these directions.
