These petitions are under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 19961 for extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal.

Though, there is some dispute between the learned counsel for the parties as to whether the mandate of the arbitral tribunal has or has not expired yet, without entering into that aspect, the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal shall stand extended by six months till 23 February 2025.

In case, the mandate has expired prior to earlier, the mandate shall be treated as continuing. This Court has not expressed any view on the contents of the present applications factual or otherwise. 4.
