This petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of an arbitral tribunal, which is in seisin of disputes between the parties under a Sale and Purchase Agreement dated 06.08.2012. 2.
The mandate of the arbitral tribunal was extended from time to time, lastly by order dated 15.02.2024 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 105/2024, till 14.08.2024.

The proceedings are at the stage of rejoinder submissions of the petitioner.

Mr. Abhijat, learned counsel for the respondent, submits that the respondent has no objection to the relief sought. However, he submits that the arbitral tribunal has fixed further hearings in the matter until 07.10.2024. In order to give the arbitral tribunal sufficient time to pronounce the award thereafter, he suggests that an extension be granted O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 608/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. for a period of six months from 15.08.2024. Learned counsel for the petitioner also endorses this submission.

Consequently, with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended for a period of six months from 15.08.2024.
