This petition has been filed for quashing of FIR no. 593/2017 registered at Punjabi Bagh under Sections 308/34 of IPC on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties on 02nd April, 2024, which is on record of this Court.

It is informed that cross- FIRs being FIR no. 594/2017 registered at PS Punjabi Bagh has been quashed today by Coordinate Bench of this Court in CRL.M.C. 6294/2024.

Petitioner nos. 1-3 and respondent no. 2 are present in court and are duly identified by the IO.

injuries were on the head of the complainant and the other FIR was possibly filed as a counter blast.

On querying the respondent no.2, he states that he has no objection to the quashing of the FIR as they are neighbours and their disputes are inter se and they have resolved there issues internally. 6.

Cost of Rs. 15,000/- each be paid by the petitioners to Delhi Police Welfare Fund within two weeks. Affidavit of deposit be filed within two weeks thereafter.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 593/2017 under Sections 308/34 of IPC registered at PS Punjabi Bagh, Delhi and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 9.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
