This petition seeks quashing of FIR No.574/2019 PS Sagarpur under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC basis settlement arrived at between the parties, as part of Khula / divorce deed dated 4th February 2023, which is on record of this Court.

Petitioner nos. 1 to 3 and respondent no.2/complainant are present in the Court duly identified by the IO and the counsel. 3.

Personal appearance of petitioner no.4, who is a senior citizen, is exempted.

Settlement amount of Rs.80,000/- stands received by respondent no,2 which is confirmed by respondent no,2 and states that she has no objection to quashing of the FIR.

of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.574/2019 PS Sagarpur under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 7.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
