Petitioner No. 1, the intending purchaser and Petitioner No. 2, intending seller, have executed a Sale Deed dated 28th May, 2024. They assert that the Sub-Registrar has refused to register this document on the grounds that the land status report, dated 22nd March, 2024, is more than 30 days old and thus considered expired. The Petitioners challenge the refusal, claiming that it lacks a valid basis.

It is however pointed out that there is no decision rendered by the Sub-Registrar regarding the acceptance or refusal of the sale deed. Without a specific determination on record, the Court is unable to assess the grounds, if any, for the refusal of registration.

In light of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction that should the Petitioners presents the sale deed in question, the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
