Petitioners are before this Court seeking issuance of an appropriate writ directing the respondent/ State to protect her life and liberty feeling threatened and fearful in the hands of her family members qua respondents no. 2 to 7. It transpires that petitioners had earlier also approached this Court seeking similar relief and vide an order dated 23.07.2025, the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court dismissed the petition. On a query imposed to both the learned counsels, they submit that at the relevant time, the petitioners were not residents of Delhi, Therefore, the earlier petition was not found to be maintainable for lack of territorial jurisdiction. 5.
Be that as it may, on advance service of copy of the petition, the I.O., who is present in person, informs that upon verification it was found that currently, the petitioner no.1 is residing at the given address in delhi as per the memo of parties. In the premise, it is deemed appropriate that to allay the fear of the petitioners, the I.O., who is present in Court, shall give her phone number to the learned counsel for petitioner no.1. In case the petitioner no.1 is faced with any untoward incident in future, she can seek police help and if warranted, further action shall be taken in accordance of law. 6.
