This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 3 months from 25.07.2025 till 25.10.2025. 2.
Ms. Bhatnagar learned counsel for the petitioner, states that on 02.04.2025, the final arguments before the Arbitral Tribunal were concluded and the Final Award was reserved. It is further stated that the extension is needed to ensure that the Arbitral Tribunal has sufficient time to pass the Final Award.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Ramaswamy, learned CGSC accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

The petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 3 months from 25.07.2025 to 25.10.2025 to make and publish the Award.
