This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of one year w.e.f. 09.07.2025.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to Dry Lease Agreement and Maintenance Agreement both dated 16.04.2018 executed between the parties, Petitioner filed a petition before this Court under O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 572/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Section 11(6) of 1996 Act being ARB.P. 1347/2022 seeking appointment of Arbitrator, which was allowed on 21.02.2023 appointing a Sole Arbitrator. Parties extended the initial mandate of the Arbitrator by mutual consent for six months which has expired on 09.07.2025. It is stated in the petition that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of cross-examination of the Claimant's witnesses.

Mr. Abhishek Singh, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitrator.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the Arbitrator is extended by a period 12 months from 29.07.2025 and period from 10.07.2025 to 28.07.2025 is regularised.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
